Generalised anxiety disorder, relationship issues, depression, feeling sad, panic disorder, family issues, affairs/betrayals, separation/divorce, bipolar disorder/manic depression, seasonal affective disorder, addiction, abuse, personality disorders, low self-esteem, bereavement, anger management, etc …
These are just a few mental health issues.
Here are a few words that some people may use instead of the above: nutcase, screw loose, loopy, bonkers, crazy, mad, insane etc.. And sayings like; ‘big boys don’t cry’ and ‘pull yourself together’ etc..
Unfortunately some people do use these words to describe people suffering with mental health issues and you can’t change those people. You can however; decide to change your life.
Mental health issues are a growing problem yet so many people continue to suffer in silence. Many people still feel there is a stigma attached to mental health and do not seek support.
Okay, talking about your issues will not be easy but it’s not a weakness to ask for help, it takes guts and strength.
This is your life and you are worth it.
